Katie Cadigan is a documentary filmmaker and executive producer for imageReal Pictures, a non-fiction film/video production firm she founded in 1997. Cadigan recently produced (with Academy Award winner Ira Wohl) the award-winning feature-length documentary "People Say IÕm Crazy", about her brother's decade-long struggle with schizophrenia. The film aired on HBO/Cinemax in the fall of 2004 and continues to garner international acclaim including the Vancouver International Film Festival's Humanitarian Award, Best Documentary at the Chicago International Film Festival, and the 2004 Outstanding Media Award for Television Documentary from the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. In the mid-1990's Cadigan served as a Visiting Lecturer at Stanford University, teaching film and video production courses for graduate and undergraduate students in the Department of Communication. Cadigan is currently in production on a feature-length television documentary critiquing cultural attitudes and stereotypes about severe mental illness.
