Loretta Jones is the founder and Executive Director of Healthy African American Families. As a "Community Gatekeeper," Ms. Jones has dedicated her entire life towards the hope and healing of community and society-at-large. Her extensive career as a civil rights activist, healthy policy advocate, and social architect has spanned more than 30 years. In an effort to level the playing field for all people, Ms. Jones continues her unyielding commitment as a change agent against human disparity. Addressing the lack of access to health services, dwindling education and environmental racism are at the forefront of her work. Since the late 1980s, Ms. Jones has been instrumental in spearheading community conferences and other educational gatherings. In addition to her many advisory seats, she is a member of the Black Women's Health Task Force, founding member of the African American Alcohol and other Drugs Coalition, and the Community Coalition of Substance Abuse and Treatment.
