Richard Walter is Professor and Chair of Screenwriting at the UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television . He is the author of Screenwriting: The Art, Craft and Business of Film and Television Writing. He has written material for feature films and all three major networks. Former students have written work including Robocop, Stand and Deliver, River's Edge, Repo Man, and episodes of Cheers, Thirtysomething, LA Law, and Miami Vice.
