Esmeralda Ramos
Esmeralda Ramos is a recent graduate from UCLA with a Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Chicana/o Studies (Spring 2007). She has been at HSRC since September of 2005, and was working with Carolyn Mendez-Luck on the Mexican Elder Care Project. With this project, she interviewed Mexican/Mexican-American women caregivers and she became a full-time staff for Dr. Jeanne Miranda with Project Export in Summer 2007 under the supervision of Veronica Jimenez. Her position is Community Worker III and she was hired through Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. She will be working with Latino populations who suffer from Diabetes and Depression and will be teaching them CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). |
