Pamela Vona, M.A.
Pamela Vona joins the Center as a Staff Research Associate. She is currently coordinating the CBITS Project, a school-based, group intervention aimed at relieving symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, and general anxiety among children exposed to trauma. She received her BA in Psychology from UCLA and her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Prior to joining the Center, she worked at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. There she conducted research in pediatric neuropsychiatry, examining the functioning of children with epilepsy and early-onset schizophrenia. Pamela intends to pursue a doctorate in Public Health and plans to focus on how current education practices and policies intersect with the practices and policies in the mental health field.
